The genesis of a friendship. The journey of MeraakiNxt, founded by Nikki Shirodkar and Monali Maheshwari, commenced with a transcontinental bond and shared passions. Nikki initiated MeraakiNxt as a bridal fashion boutique in 2009, leveraging her extensive experience in the industry. Meanwhile, Monali managed her engineering services business in the United States, where she has resided for decades. Despite their diverse backgrounds, they quickly formed a strong connection, evolving into close friends over the years. In 2022, they began brainstorming ideas for a fashion brand that melds their distinct talents and interests
The Birth of MeraakiNxt
The genesis of a brand occurred when Nikki's creative vision merged with Monali's global fashion fervor, catalyzing the inauguration of MeraakiNxt's flagship store in Mumbai in 2023. Specializing in bespoke women’s and men’s wear, particularly bridal, evening wear, and pret, MeraakiNxt is dedicated to delivering unique, personalized fashion experiences while honoring the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship. Despite their brief tenure, they have been showcased in numerous shows and have collaborated with countless satisfied clients, enhancing their special occasions with memorable experiences.
